Photography and visual design by Lund x Mauviel
Olfactive Family: Woody
The root of the “Acorus Calamus”, aka Sweet Flag, plant. Growing from 1 to 3 feet tall, it is cultivated throughout Europe, Asia and North America and is found in wet marshy areas. Mentioned as one of the ingredients in the holy anointing oil of the Bible it is also part of Ayurvedic, traditional Chinese, and Native American medicine and spiritual practices. Calamus root has a unique scent of wet cake dough, with a woody and leathery-suede texture.
