Narcissus

Olfactive Family: Floral
A bulbous plant belonging to the family “Narcissus Poeticus”, of the amaryllis family, also known as Jonquil. The exact origin is unknown; yet it is believed to have originated in Persia and traveled to China through the Silk Route and is of course associated with the Greek legend of Narcissus. It is very rare and expensive as 500 kg of flowers are needed to produce 1 kg of concrete by solvent extraction, and 3 times more to get 1 kg of absolute. The scent of the absolute is floral (mimosa with a tuberose facet) with green-leafy nuances.
